Look at the image and explain was done technically to convey the meaning and mood of this image? What is the mood of this image? What is the photographer saying or what story is being told here? What emotion is evoked inside of you? Using your knowledge of framing, angles, elements/principles of design, placement and lighting (as well as your awareness of how images are subjective to the viewer) thoughtfully deconstruct this image and explain how it is a significant image. Discuss the technical process that was used to achieve this.

Photo1:The Author of this photo is Manuel Bravo. The emotion of this photo seems to be sad. This is due to the dark lighting and how the women is standing. She is leaning over a railing with not to much light. The photographer is trying to tell us that the person in the photo is not happy or not in a happy place at this time. The photographer used lighting to make the emotion stronger. The light in the photo is only coming from one direction and is dark. He/she also uses lines in their picture. The lines to me seem that what she is looking at below and is sad about we can not know about. THey are "blocking" us from knowing. Furthermore, i feel like they used space. They made the picture feel like the only thing there was the women standing there all alone with nothing around. Also, where the photo is taken helps express the emotion even more. The building behind her seems run down or abandoned.

Photo2: The author of this photo is Dorothea Lange. The mood or emotion of this image seems to be tired, sad, or deprived. The author depicted this by having the lady hold a baby that is sleeping. Her face though seems just as tired or even sad. The author aslo depicted that they are deprived by them being in an open field, kind of like a desert, with nothing there but some bushes. The women's clothes look like she would live on a farm or in the west. THe photographer is trying to say that this is a family that works hard and is tired but still living on the farms just to survive. The emotion i get from this is sad or just being tired. The author emphasized the people by making them take up most of the frame and them being the only real subject in the photo. THe people in the picture are a little bit to one side i believe to show where they are located to had to the feeling of the photo. I believe this photo is showing the hard work of women on farms and how they are tired from taking care of the children to working as well(shown by the clothes and background).

Photo3: The Author of this photo is Doug Ricard. He took the photo in a really high depth of field. This made the photo have space and makes me feel as if i had tunnel vison. The space in the foreground of the photo is taking up by three people walking across the street. Lines are also used to draw your eye from the bottom to the top(down the street). THere is also movement in this photo due to the lines in it moving your eyes from the botom to the top. In this photo i don't really have a feeling. If i was to have one is would be empty or far away. This is because there is a lot of open and empty space in this photo. Furthermore, the end of the "tunnel" is very far away and seems that it would take a while to get to.

Photo4: The photographer of the photo is Herb Ritts. The mood, meaning, or emotion this photo is showing is happy and curiosity. It is showing that even when you are older you can still be happy and you still are curious. The lady in the picture is smiling but she is also looking to the right. THe only part of the photo that looks like it is in focus is the ladys face. The photo was shot in low depth of field. This emphasizes her emotions and shows she is the reason for the photo. Also, she takes up basically the whole frame of this photo. She is also centered in the middle. Everything in this photo is lit evenly and is seems as it is lit from every direction. Also, i believe this photo is balanced. This is due to that is has the same amount of martial on both sides and its is symmetrical.

Photo5: Duane Michals is the photographer of this photo. The mood or vibe from this photo seems to be really dark. There is a man eiher sleeping or dead on table in the left side of the picture with a man in all black looking at him in the right side of the photo. THe left side of the picture where the man laying is, is more lit and has the lighting coming from that side. The other side of this picture where te man is standing is darker. The Author used lighting show the dark part of the image and how the man sanding about the other guy is not good. Also, where the man is makes the photo have more meaning. The man standing is looking down at the man laying, almost saying that he is better than him or bigger than him. The author also used movement with the light. When i look at the picture i move my eye from the dark side to the bright side of the photo seeing what is there.
